As I extend my hand in friendship, I pray that this letter finds you and your loved ones safe, doing well and receiving many blessings.
I am writing to you with the hopes of us possibly starting a friendship that will be rewarding and rare. Although I am incarcerated I sincerely believe that I have a lot to offer to any friendship that we may establish. As well as positive energy that enables you to see life on a whole new level.
I have no expectations; I simply wish to get to know you as a person as well as a woman. And at the same time, I want you to get to know me as a man as well as an individual. After all, friendships are like flowers if fed they will bloom.
If we are to establish a friendship, it is important that you know any friendship that we may build must be founded on loyalty and honesty. For these are two principals that I live by and take very seriously. I am not a man who plays mind games with women (or anybody for that matter) because whether I am incarcerated or not, I have more productive things to do with my time.
I ask that you do not judge me based upon society’s stereotypes of men in prison; because I assure you I do not fit that category, instead that the way you will be in an adequate position to make your own valid opinion as to what kind of person I am. I also ask that you do not judge me based upon your past experiences with men, for I also assure you that I am unlike any other man.
