It’s great to be heard. I've been down 12 years on a 25 year mandatory minimum. I'm not complaining though. I take full responsibility for my poor choices. The bright side, however, is I'm not the same person I was back then.
Today I'm passionate about helping guys in here cope with the struggles of drug addiction, gang issues, and personal problems. I know how hard it is to face to pain alone, so I see my situation as a unique opportunity to help them see that there is a way out from under the destructive criminal lifestyle.
I'm also a staunch advocate for education. I'm currently working on a Bachelor of Arts degree in counseling. In addition, I'm a tutor for the GED program here at the prison. Education is so important, and I love helping other guys realize their own potential.
I am an intelligent, compassionate, down-to-earth cat, and I thoroughly enjoy stimulating discussions about almost anything. I'm into healthy intellectual debates, and I can small talk with the best of them. I'm a high-energy personality, and my positive nature tends to uplift others. I genuinely care about people, and I think it shows in the way I treat others.
My faith in God plays a major role in my decision making process. However I don't push my faith in Jesus onto others intrusively, and I'm not a self-righteous nut job who wants to point my crooked little finger at everyone else. I can't stand them cats either.
